Packet pick up for this year’s Door County Triathlon will take place at the event site, Murphy Park.  Packet pick up for both events will be available on Friday, July 15th from 2 pm until 8 pm.  On Saturday, Sprint participants may pick up their packets from 5:30 am until 7:30 am before the 8 am start of their event.  Half Iron participants may pick up their packets on Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm or on Sunday (race day) from 5:30 am until 7:30 am before the 8 am start.  PER USA TRIATHLON GUIDELINES, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST PICK UP THEIR OWN PACKET AND MUST PRESENT PHOTO ID IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR PACKETS.  Because we allow race day packet pick up, there are no justifiable reasons for exceptions to this rule.  Note: Relay teams have only one packet for their members.  At least one member must present a Photo ID to pick up their packet.

I would like to see the swim waves set up by skill not by sex and age. Who’s to say a 20 yr old male is any faster than a 50 yr old female? I think it was commented on in a very sexest way over the loud speaker as well. So did many of the other female participants. I swam under 8minutes on the quarter mile and had to go through plenty of younger males to finish. Maybe like many other tris you could have people list their skill level at sign up, or time a swim during a training session etc… more accurate.
Thanks for allowing us to comment.

We have to follow the guidelines of our sanctioning body, USA Triathlon. If you run as the next president of USAT, get elected and change the rules, we’ll be happy to comply with your preference on this issue!
