GETTING THERE
Frank Murphy Park is part of the Door County Parks System. It is located approximately 14 miles north of Sturgeon Bay and 3 miles south of Egg Harbor on the sandy shores of Horseshoe Bay, a scenic alcove in Lake Michigan's bay of Green Bay. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
(from the south)

From the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, take State Highway 42/57 north through Sturgeon Bay, the population center of Door County. After crossing the shipping channel bridge, stay on Highway 42 northbound. Approximately 11.5 miles after crossing the bridge, turn left on County Road G. Take G for 2 miles until it intersects with Horseshoe Bay Road.

Turn left and head down the hill. Parking is available in the fields to the right.

 

ROAD CLOSURE NOTE TO VOLUNTEERS AND SPECTATORS

On Sunday, July 22, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am, County Highway B (Bayshore Drive) will be closed to traffic from Horseshoe Bay Road to Old Stone Quarry Park(a 9 mile stretch) in order to accommodate the bike course portion of the Door County Triathlon.

 

AIRPORTS

The nearest major airport is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin and is served by American Airlines, United, Midwest and Northwest Airlines. For recreational flyers or private charters, Cherryland Airport is located just south of Sturgeon Bay.
