Door County Triathlon organizers are encouraging all triathletes to “Finish the Race” on the Door County Triathlon course this summer. From June 1 through August 31, organizers will mark the turn arrows for the bike and run courses with white paint for the Sprint and Half Iron courses. In addition, a swim buoy will be installed off of Murphy Park beach for the summer. The location of the buoy will enable Sprint triathletes to do a single beach-to-buoy-to-boat-launch 0.25 mile course, while Half Iron triathletes can do a three-loop (0.4 miles x 3) route to achieve a 1.2 mile swim. There will be no road closures or safety precautions taken and athletes must be self-supported with their own fluids, food, etc. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PRINTABLE COURSE MAPS.

In addition, local non-profit myTeam Triumph (MTT) will be organizing six free Triathlon Training Days throughout the summer on June 13, June 27, July 11, July 18, August 1, and August 15. On these days, volunteers will staff a table giving out free Gatorade and water. Note: Athletes should bring their own water bottles. The volunteers will also give away free 2020 Door County Triathlon shirts to all finishers. Triathletes are encouraged to support MTT financially.
